The League of Women Voters of Polk County

Is committed to promoting political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government and to acting on selected government issues.

 

 

 

To Register and vote you must be:

 

·        18 years old on election day

·        A U.S. citizen

·        A permanent resident of Polk County

 

 

It is permissible to carry a marked sample ballot or other notes into the voting booth to expedite voting.  If you have problems while in a booth, you may ask for help.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR CANDIDATES

 

Each candidate must be a qualified voter and must meet the respective statutory and/or constitutional requirements for candidates.
